Noro Bobble Hat

This fun hat is designed to fit an average to large sized woman's head. Finished circumference is about 22-24 inches. I have a small head, so I wear mine with my knitted earwarmers underneath for extra warmth.

Notions:
US 9 16" circular needles
US 9 dpn
Yarn needle

Yarn: 1 skein Noro Kureyon in desired colorway

Pattern:
CO 88 sts. with the circular needles.
K 5 rounds in stockinette stitch (st st.)
P 1 round.
K 4 rounds st st.

Work bobble round as follows:
*K 4 sts; K into front, then back, then front, then back of next stitch to make 4 sts; pass the 1st of the 4 sts over the next 3 sts* repeat around.

K 5 rounds in st st.
Work in seed stitch for 2 inches.
K 1 round st st.

Now you are ready to begin the decrease for the top. When it gets too small for the circular needle, switch to dpn's. Work the decrease for top as follows:
R1: K 6, K2tog around.
R2: K around.
R3: K5, K2tog around.
R4: K around.
R5: K4, K2tog around.
R6: K around.
R7: K3, K2tog around.
R8: K around.
R9: K2, K2tog around.
R10: K around.
R11: K1, K2tog around.
R12: K around.
R13: K2tog around.
R14: K2tog around.

Cut yarn, leaving at least a 6 inch tail, and thread your yarn needle with this tail. Run the needle through the last remaining stitches and slide them off your needles. Run the yarn through the last stitches in a circular manner 3 times. Stick the needle through the top of the hat, turn hat inside out, and weave in the loose ends. You are done!
